The deadliest mountain on the earth is the Mont Blank Massif. It boasts of 15782 ft and is the tallest on the alpine range. Year in year out, climbers have been dying due to rocks slides and steep rocks. It’s the fatality rate is the highest going to 100 people per year mark. 6000 people have since died as they climb this mountain. Thanks to the success of President Theodore Roosevelt who climbed it in 1886, the mountain is very popular.
The second dangerous mountain on the earth is the Annapurna. It has a height of above 26,246 ft. Climbers from everywhere are attracted by the Nepal Annapurna which is the tallest peak. Since 1950, 191 people have successfully climbed this mountain. Sixty people have since died as they tried to reach the summit of Annapurna. it is referred as the most dangerous mount for those with 8000 meters peak.
Another mount under focus is the K2 which is the second highest in the world. It is located in the border of Pakistan and China with a height of 28251 ft. It is easier to climb Kilimanjaro but not K2. Even if you choose the easiest route, you will face challenges such as the ice pillars that are prone to collapse. Step rocks and complicated glaciers. This mount seems to be biased against female climbers. Among the six female climbers that gave a trial to mount since 2003, five of them died.
There is the Nanga Parbat which has bad name of the man eater. The mount is located in Pakistan and boasts of 26,657ft. The mountain features an enormous range of ice and rock. It is the ninth tallest mountain in the world and has the tallest mountain face. As of 1953, it has claimed lives of 31 climbers.
